Dream, Desire And Obsession: Psychoanalytical Theories And Representation In The Novels Of Cristina Peri Rossi

Sinopsis del libro

libro Dream, Desire And Obsession: Psychoanalytical Theories And Representation In The Novels Of Cristina Peri Rossi

With regard to the theoretical framework of this study, I adhere to the dream theories of Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung, as well as to more recent theories by psychologists and experts in the field of dream study. For the analysis of the theme of desire, I resort primarily to the psychoanalytical theories of the French Freudian psychoanalyst, Jacques Lacan. It is worth mentioning that I also use the study by Jonathan Scott Lee titled Jacques Lacan which explains very clearly and in detail the life and work of Lacan. With respect to the themes of obsession/addiction, I adhere primarily to the studies Compulsive Gambling: Theory, Research and Practice by Howard J. Shaffer, Sharon A. Stein, Blase Gambino, and Thomas N. Cummings The Psychology of Gambling by Michael B. Walker, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorders: Treating and Understanding Crippling Habits by Steven Levenkron.
