Sinopsis del libro

In August 2016 I moved with my children to live in United States, and during the initial adaptation process the term destiny began to stick in my mind. From the moment I arrived in United States, my refusal to accept that I would no longer live in Venezuela made it harder for me to adjust. Through the bilingual captions (Spanish/English) that accompany all the photos of this book, I try to bring you closer to my emotional experience as an immigrant. I share with them the collection of thoughts that helped me come to realize that I chose to leave the place where I was born to return to the place where I was destined to live. En agosto del 2016 emigré con mis hijos a los Estados Unidos y, durante el proceso inicial de adaptación, la palabra destino empezó a tener mucha resonancia en mis pensamientos. Desde que llegué a esta tierra, la resistencia a aceptar que ya no iba a vivir más en Venezuela hizo mucho más difícil mi proceso de adaptación. A través de los textos bilingües (en español e inglés) que acompañan todas las fotos de este libro, intento aproximarlos a mi experiencia emocional como emigrante. Les comparto la suma de pensamientos que me ayudaron a entender que yo decidí irme del lugar donde nací para volver al lugar donde era mi destino estar.
