This 14-chapter Country Environmental Analysis (CEA) is to present an analytical framework to support the efforts of the Government of Colombia toward achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Particular focal points are Goal 7, ensuring environmental sustainability, and two of the targets within Goal 7-Target 9, integrating the principles of sustainable development into country policies and programs and reversing the losses of environmental resources, and Target 11, achieving a significant improvement in the lives of urban slum dwellers.
