The class theory of Pierre Bourdieu together with the theory of gender and performativity of Judith Butler, have been appropriated to explore the ways that gender and class interacted in the field of architecture and construction. The concept of the disciplines, developed by Michel Foucault, has been used to analyze the formation of professionals by the educational institution, and in the theory of Roland Barthes, the necessary tools for the analysis of the advertisements were found.
